Vivian Clara Kensmoe, 87, of Eau Claire, died Friday, March 5, 2010, at Clairemont Nursing Home. She was born in the Town of Clear Creek, Wisconsin on July 8, 1922, a daughter of Herman and Lydia (Hehl) Pehlke. Vivian married Orlan Kensmoe on December 13, 1947, in Eau Claire. Orlan and Vivian then resided at Elk Lake, WI, all their married life. Vivian loved to knit, sew, and was an avid bird watcher. She was a charter member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Vivian is survived by her daughter, Julie Kensmoe of Eau Claire; brother, Myron (Loretta) Pehlke; sister, Marge Rindal; two brothers-in-law, Roger (Mary) Kensmoe, and Donald Ruff; four sisters-in-law, Elaine Kensmoe, Phyllis Grohn, Harriet Welke, and Emily (Irvin) Barby; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with the Rev. Donald Wisner officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. |

Thank you so much from all of us. Mom's funeral was just as she wanted it. You helped us to prepare for this day, being so patient with our indecisions and accommodating to our requests. You were attentive to her mourners in a way that would have made Mother proud. From first to last detail you were there to help us and ease us on through the day.
