Gaynor Mae Arneson,71, of Eau Claire, WI, formerly of Rollette, ND, died July 21, 2010, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born on June 23, 1939, in Rollette, North Dakota, a daughter of Gilmer and Mae (Worrall) Ihla. Gaynor graduated from Rolette High School in 1957 and attended Minot State Teacher's College for two years. She married Tony Arneson, of Rugby, North Dakota on June 28th, 1959 in Valley Lutheran Church in Rolette, ND. She moved with her husband to Grand Forks, ND and was employed as a grade school teacher. She later moved to Northwood, ND, where she also taught school, then to Cottage Grove, Minnesota in 1962. Gaynor eventually moved to Eau Claire, WI in 1988. Gaynor was preceded in death by her parents; and by her sister, Colleen June Spurgeon (Ihla). She is survived by a daughter, Kelly (Todd) Johnson; her grandchildren, Jaime Johnson and Nicole Johnson of Farmington, MN; nephews, Trent (Diana) Spurgeon of Rosemount, MN, Paul Spurgeon, of Kansas City, MO, and Tony Piatz of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; nieces, Sara (Greg) Spurgeon-Roberts of Lubbock, TX, Pam Lund (Piatz) of St. Paul, MN, and Pearl Piatz of Roberts, WI. |
