Beulah Jane Pedersen

Beulah “Boots” Pedersen, 96, of Eau Claire, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, in Eau Claire. Beulah “Boots” was born on May 25, 1917, in Eau Claire to Albert and Inga (Kausrud) Mattison. Beulah graduated from Eau Claire State Teachers College. She taught elementary school in Grantsburg, WI, and in Eau Claire. Boots married Einar Pedersen on August 15, 1947. Boots was a lifetime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, where she participated in choir, taught Sunday and Bible school, and enjoyed quilting and circle activities. Boots loved to play golf and bridge. Boots is survived by her sons, Richard (Linda) Pedersen of Madison, WI, and Thomas (Joyce) Pedersen of Mankato, MN; three grandchildren, Inga of Seattle, WA, Laura of Madison, WI, and Nathan (April) of Bend, OR. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Einar; parents, Albert & Inga; and sister, Eleanor (Hubert) Henrich. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1310 Main St. in Eau Claire, with Pastor Debra Boynton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral & Cremation Services is serving her family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church or to the choice of the donor. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Grace Willowbrook for their compassionate care and friendship to Boots, and the staff of Mayo Clinic Health Systems. The family extends a special thank you to her niece, Karen (David) Roholt, for her close friendship to Boots.
