Dennis Ziehme Obituary

Dennis D. Ziehme, 62, of Eau Claire, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire. He was born on February 26, 1955, in Eau Claire, to Dale and Audrey (Evans) Ziehme. He attended Memorial High School. Dennis worked in the laundry department at Luther Hospital. He enjoyed playing in softball and dartball leagues and spending time with his friends, especially Mike. Dennis also enjoyed watching the Cubs and Vikings and rock and roll music. Dennis is survived by his sister, Brenda Ziehme of Eau Claire; aunts, Barbara (George) Lewis, Carol Mathews, Beatrice (Charles) Popple, Deyon Ziehme and Illa Evans; and uncle, David (Holly) Stavnaw. He is also survived by his second family: Debra; her daughter, Donya; and Donya’s sons, Josyah and Cayden. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Barry; grandparents, Lillian Ziehme and Shirley (Martin) Stavnaw; aunt, Irene (Chester) Fritz; uncles, Lyle (Ardelle) Ziehme, Raymond (Ev) Ziehme, Lawrence Ziehme, Michael Evans, and Duane “Tim” Evans. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Lake Street United Methodist Church, 337 Lake Street in Eau Claire with Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at a later date in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery, Town of Washington. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial would be appreciated.
