Isla Cloutier Obituary

Isla J. Cloutier, 78, of Eau Claire, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at Atrium Post Acute Care of Bloomer. She was born in Chippewa Falls, WI, on May 17, 1939, a daughter of Edward and Beatrice (Poirier) Cloutier. She married Stanley Schalko and they later divorced. Isla worked as a cook for the Eau Claire school system until her retirement in 1993. She enjoyed playing cards and games and spent a lot of time at the L.E. Phillips Senior Center. Isla is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Cloutier Fransway, Joleen Ja’-Sun and Jennifer (Bryan) Lathrop; grandchildren, Tyler, Cole, Ryan, Emily, Caullin and Zack; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Calli; brothers, Rodney and Arlan Cloutier; and special friend, Bernice Kent. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2018, in the Great Room at the Eau Claire L.E. Phillips Senior Center, 1616 Bellinger St., with Pastor Jeff Carlson officiating. Games and snacks to follow.
