Isla J. Cloutier, 78, of Eau Claire, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at Atrium Post Acute Care of Bloomer. She was born in Chippewa Falls, WI, on May 17, 1939, a daughter of Edward and Beatrice (Poirier) Cloutier. She married Stanley Schalko and they later divorced. Isla worked as a cook for the Eau Claire school system until her retirement in 1993. She enjoyed playing cards and games and spent a lot of time at the L.E. Phillips Senior Center. Isla is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Cloutier Fransway, Joleen Ja’-Sun and Jennifer (Bryan) Lathrop; grandchildren, Tyler, Cole, Ryan, Emily, Caullin and Zack; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Calli; brothers, Rodney and Arlan Cloutier; and special friend, Bernice Kent. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2018, in the Great Room at the Eau Claire L.E. Phillips Senior Center, 1616 Bellinger St., with Pastor Jeff Carlson officiating.
