Jane Krumenauer Obituary

Jane M. Krumenauer, age 77, of Eau Claire, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Eau Claire, with her family by her side. Jane was born on July 19, 1940, in Eau Claire, to Rolland and Dorothy (Paape) Flackoy. She attended Regis High School and graduated with the Class of 1958. She then attended St. Francis School of Nursing in LaCrosse and received a Bachelor’s degree as a Registered Nurse in 1961. Jane married Thomas Krumenauer in December of 1961. Together they had three children, Kari, Jeff and Jim. They divorced in 1975. Jane worked as a Registered Nurse at Mt. Washington Nursing Home, and as Director of Nursing in Chippewa County, Oakwood Villa and Fall Creek Valley Care Center. She then worked as a consultant for the State of Wisconsin Health and Social Services and retired in 2011, as a consultant for Pathway Health Service. She loved to laugh, make people laugh, cheer on the Green Bay Packers, be a mom, and especially being a grandma to her most adored, Maddie. Jane spent time with her St. Francis Nursing buddies, and friends Marge, Mary, Gail, cousin Nancy, and the Pichler and Klingbiel clan of Green Bay. Jane is survived by her daughter, Kari Krumenauer of Eau Claire; son, James Krumenauer and his daughter Madeline, of Houston, TX; and daughter-in-law, Susan Krumenauer of Cedarburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Jeff Krumenauer. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. Eau Claire, with Father Dan Oudenhoven officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire.
