Lewis E. Vreeland, age 70, of Eau Claire, formerly of Bruce, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at his home. Lewis was born on May 25, 1947, in Ladysmith, WI, to the late Leon and Kitty (McKane) Vreeland. He graduated from Bruce High School in 1965. He then entered the US Navy in 1966 and served for a year in Vietnam. Lewis is survived by his sister Kathy (David Harris) Wilkinson of Coon Rapids, MN; nephews and their families, Dale Wilkinson, Casey Harris, Tim McKane, Shannon McKane; nieces and their families, Kelly (Scott) Hendrickson, Kitty (Shane) Bay, Toni (Jason) Aho; sister-in-law, Linda McKane. He is preceded in death by his long-time companion, Vera Caneff; brother, John McKane. No formal service will be held at this time. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting his family.
