Lucille E. Kringle, 96, passed away April 11, 2018, at The Prairie Pointe Rehab facility in Altoona, WI. She was born on May 27, 1921, in Cicero, IL, to Frank and Kazimiera (Luksis) Gricius. She married Howard Kringle in St. Louis, MO, on October 3, 1942. Lucille was employed by L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library for 27 years, retiring in June 1988. Previously, she worked at Montgomery Ward & Co. in Chicago, IL, and in Eau Claire. After retirement, she volunteered for 16 years in the Surgery Lounge and Family Waiting Center at Sacred Heart Hospital. Lucille is survived by two daughters, Kathleen (Sandy) McAndrew of Champaign, IL, and Carol (Tony) Kueber of Louisville, KY; three grandsons, Brian (Kathleen) McAndrew, Christopher (Rebecca) Kueber and Nicholas (Stacey) Kueber; five great-grandchildren, Cade and Marin McAndrew, Henry Kueber, Paige and Aubrie Kueber. She is also survived by her sister, Valerie Pakula of Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Kringle; her parents; her brothers, Frank, Edward and Albert Gricius; and sisters, Emily Duncan and Charlotte Brown. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at the WEST CHAPEL Location of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave. Eau Claire. Private family services and burial will be held at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI, on Monday April 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
