Margaret Zwiefelhofer Obituary

Margaret Ann Zwiefelhofer, 84, of Bloomer, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, at Dove Healthcare Nursing Home in Bloomer. Margie was born in Tilden, on January 24, 1933, to Herman and Rosalia (Boos) Geissler. She attended St. Peter's Catholic School and graduated from McDonell High School with the Class of 1951. On May 24, 1955, Margie married Richard W. Zwiefelhofer, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Tilden. She worked alongside her husband Richie, on the farm and even drove the bulk milk route while he hauled the can milk. Margie loved to cook, bake, go fishing, attend local sporting events, play cards, bowl, travel, visit with family and reminisce about the past. Margie was a member of the Chippewa County Homemakers, VFW Auxiliary, St. Paul's Catholic Church and the P.C.C.W. Margie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richie; two sons, Rick and Jay (Dana) Zwiefelhofer; three grandchildren, Mason, Addyson and one on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, John in infancy, George, Gilbert and Bernie Geissler; six sisters, Adelaide in infancy, Dorothy Woolever, Leona Geissler, Bernadine Gall, Gertrude Frami and Rosemary Mitchell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 pm, on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1222 Main St. in Bloomer, with Father John Potaczek celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 1 pm, on Saturday at the church. Burial will be held at St. Paul’s North Catholic Cemetery in Bloomer.
