Patricia A. McCluskey

Patricia Ann “Pat” McCluskey, 81, of Eau Claire, WI, was called to her eternal home on January 29, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Health Care System in Eau Claire. Pat was born to Clarence and Fern Thorson, February 22, 1934, in Eau Claire, WI. She was raised in Eau Claire and graduated from Memorial High School in 1952. She married Jim McCluskey, also from Eau Claire, on December 28, 1952. Pat and Jim lived in Memphis, TN, while Jim served in the Navy. They also lived in Madison, WI, Saginaw, MI, and Bloomington, MN. They eventually settled in Diamond Bar, CA, where they raised their three children. Pat was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved warm climates, running, bridge, golf and traveling. After Jim retired, they spent many “winters” in Palm Desert, CA, and La Quinta, CA, and summers traveling. She is survived by her children, Mike McCluskey of Sacramento, CA, Shelly Houston (Russ) of Evergreen, CO, and Babs Dyer (Bob) of Exeter, CA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Randi Stewart, Kelsey LaMar, Zane Houston, Gillie Houston and Jack Dyer; great-grandchildren, Emmett LaMar, Logan Stewart and Owen LaMar; sister, Karen Isaacson of Eau Claire; and companion Bob Kerwin of Madison. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; siblings, Betty Boyd, Reva Sippel, Berval Thorson, Roger Thorson and Dick Thorson: and longtime companion Chet Wagner of Eau Claire.
