Peter J. Brindle

Peter Joseph Brindle, 56, of Rochelle, IL, passed away unexpectedly at his residence from health issues on Saturday, January 28, 2017. He was born on January 19, 1961, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI, to William and Shirley (Schuster) Brindle. He graduated from North High School in 1979. Following high school, Pete attended Chippewa Valley Technical College before moving to Corpus Christi, Texas, and then to Minneapolis, MN for four years. Upon returning to Eau Claire, he met his girlfriend, Lisa, and they moved to Illinois. Pete loved reading and learning. He loved tinkering with electrical gadgets, keeping up on current issues, and expressing his opinion when opportunity arose. Pete’s favorite passion was playing the guitar and listening to music. Teaching himself to play guitar at an early age, it became his passion of a lifetime, playing in various garage bands in his teens. Pete is survived by his partner of ten years, Lisa Heiting, and her children, Ashley and Ryan, all of IL; his mother, Shirley of Eau Claire; sisters, Barb (Les) Herried of Ettrick, WI, Sue (Tim) Frederick of Altoona, WI, and Rosemary of Eau Claire; brothers, Mike (Julie) Brindle of Elk Mound, and Mark (Cheryl) Brindle of Mondovi, WI; many nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; Aunts, Betty Schuster and Darlene (Lyman) Burns; uncle, Jerome Schuster; and his cats, Shortica, Wiggy, and Lenny. Pete was preceded in death by his father, William; infant twin sisters, Catherine and Helen; brothers, Stephen and Christopher; nieces, Amanda Brindle and Loni Sisko; maternal and paternal grandparents. The family wishes to thank Lis and her family for all their kindness and caring for Pete. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th Street, Eau Claire, with Father John Schultz officiating. Visitation will be at 5 to 7 p.m. at the WEST CHAPEL location of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave, Eau Claire, with a Public Prayer Vigil beginning at 6 p.m. Visitation will also begin at 10 a.m. and continue until the time of the Mass at the church on Friday.
