Rosalie M. Schilling

Rosalie M. Schilling, 91, of Eau Claire, WI, died on April 27, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 20, 1923, in the Town of Emmet, WI, one of eight children, to Joseph and Anna (Boehm) Streveler. Rosalie was a homemaker and bookkeeper, dispatcher, and office manager for F.J. Schilling Trucking Company of Eau Claire. She loved travel and adventure and spent many memorable winters with her husband in their Airstream as snowbirds. Her passion was Francis, her husband of 66 years, and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook and bake, sew, crochet, and play her keyboard. Rosalie sang in the choir as a member of Sacred Heart Parish and was a long-time member of St. James the Greater Parish. Rosalie was greatly loved by her family and friends and her presence brightened any room. A kind and gentle woman, she will forever hold a special place in our heart. She entered Dove Healthcare West in October of 2012, where she resided until the time of her death. The family would like to thank the staff at Dove and Orchard Hills for the loving care she received. Rosalie is survived by her husband, Francis; children, Larry (Mary) Schilling of Lancaster, CA, Linda (Charlie) Anderson of Westboro, WI, Brian (Sharlene) Schilling of Eau Claire, and Steve (Judy) Schilling of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Adam (Amanda) Schilling, Jodi Kleppe, Brandon Anderson, Heather (Joseph) Paul, and Lindsay (Adam) Van De Ven; and three great grandchildren, Kloey, Aurora, and Cade. She is also survived by her brothers, Harold (Eileen) Streveler and Joseph (Karen) Streveler. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence Streveler, Francis Streveler, and Bernard Streveler; and sisters, Dolores Paszek and Mary Ann Schmit. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, May 1, 2015 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th Street in Eau Claire. Father Tom Krieg will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the WEST CHAPEL of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Avenue in Eau Claire and one hour prior to Mass at Church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Eau Claire.
