Verona Clare Loechler, 95, of Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, at her residence, under the care of her sisters, who loved her dearly, friends, and Mayo Clinic Health Systems Hospice. She was born on January 3, 1922, in Eau Claire, WI, the daughter of Charles and Caroline (Lassek) Loechler. She was baptized, received First Communion, and was confirmed at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She attended grades one through ten at Sacred Heart of Jesus School and graduated from St. Patrick’s High School. Verona was employed by Presto Industries during WWII, later employed by Uniroyal Tire in the Central Stenography department from where she retired. She spent much of her time looking after her mother and dad. She enjoyed reading, especially the newspaper from page one through the last page. She is survived by her two sisters, Rita and Marilyn Loechler; and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents. Verona’s family would like to thank these special people who lovingly cared for her and her siblings during her illness: Tim, Sandie, Reece, Mike, Cindy, Ceil, Marian and family, and the MCHS Hospice employees who were Heaven sent. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Thayilkuzhithottu officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of Mass at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral & Cremation Services is serving her family.
