Funeral Service Options
By working with families on a daily basis, we realize that the level of involvment in planning a service can easily become very overwhelming. Our compassionate staff will carefully guide your family in creating the most personal and meaningful tribute to the person who died and will additionally support any appropriate requests to commemorate the life that was lived.
Because your family and loved ones are unique, it makes sense that funeral services should be as well. The first consideration is whether the person who has died preferred traditional burial or cremation. This is just the beginning. There are still a variety of options for the type of ceremony, visitation, gathering and final resting place. Some families prefer religious or secular ceremonies, yet others might like to highlight a certain aspect of the person who has died, such as a hobby. Or, if the deceased was a veteran, it is often customary to partially focus on the military background of that person. Music, eulogies, stories, readings and poetry can be added to personalize the event to both reflect upon and celebrate the life that was lived.
Whatever you desire, we will take care of the details. We will make suggestions for customizing services, while helping to work in your specific ideas. In addition to personalized memorials and register books, we offer other complimentary means of personalizition to reflect the personality, accomplishments and interests of the person's life. These are things such as memory collages and displays, picture enlargement and enhancements, bookmarks, musical selections, readings, poems or other special passages. All of these options allow the services to be a true celebration of life. For each service, we are dedicated to personalizing the facilities in which they are held.
Traditional Burial
Traditional burial is that in which the interment of the deceased is in a casket and vault, placed into the earth. We offer our families a wide range of services prior to the burial. The services are commonly a gathering of family and friends at our funeral home, a church or another facility. Other options to consider prior to burial would be to have a private or public visitation.
Cremation Cremation is where the deceased is reduced to "cremains" through a process of intense heat. Many families choose to have a public visitation or private family viewing preceding a traditional funeral service prior to cremation. If not, a memorial service may be held when the body is not present.
