Charlotte Adrienne Kaehler

Charlotte A. Kaehler, 91, of Eau Claire, died Friday, March 2, 2018, at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born September 2, 1926, in New Lisbon, WI, the daughter of William and Helen (Carlson) Becker. Charlotte graduated from New Lisbon High School in 1943. She attended Eau Claire Teachers College. She was a teacher’s aide in the Eau Claire School District for 22 years, retiring in 1989. Charlotte A. Becker married Edward G. Kaehler on June 25, 1950, in Eau Claire at Lake Street United Methodist Church, and would have celebrated their 63rd anniversary three days after Ed’s passing in 2013. Survivors include 6 children, Becky (Steve) Lasure of Eau Claire, Bill (Dee) of Green Bay, John (Dawn) of New Brighton, MN, Dennis (Debbie) of Eau Claire, Mark of New Auburn, and Kari of Eau Claire; 7 grandchildren, Amy (Gary) Brewton, Sara Lasure, Carly (Matt) Baade, Katie (Mike) Skapyak, Brent Kaehler, Mindy Kaehler, and Andy Lasure; 6 great-grandchildren, Henry, William, John, Alyssa, Eloise, and Austin; sisters and brother-in-law, Irene Kaehler of Barron, WI, Mary Alice (Bob) Dickson of Clovis, CA; and also by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fred, Arnold, and Howard. Memorial services will be at 11am on Friday, March 9, 2018, at Lake Street United Methodist Church, 337 Lake St, Eau Claire, with Pastor Jerry Morris officiating. The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 53 will hold a memorial service following the church service. Inurnment will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Beaver Brook Township at a later date. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.
