Darlene Manix Obituary

Darlene A. Manix, age 72, of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at her residence. Darlene was born on December 12, 1944, in Eau Claire, to Raymond and Marlene (Ames) Sly. She attended Memorial High School. Darlene worked as a housekeeper at AmericInn before retiring. She enjoyed her family, knitting, crocheting, and other crafts. Darlene is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Eric) Barnhardt of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Adam (Tiffany) Manix, Alan Manix, Kendra Manix, and Ashley (Nick) Mayer; great-grandchildren, Maddisyn, Masyn, and Mayjur Manix, and Shawn, Hailey and Haddie Mayer; sisters, Carol (Keith) Jorgenson and Jeri (Verlin) Eckwright of Eau Claire and Sharon (Wayne) Ouimet of Cornell; as well as many nieces and nephews. Darlene is preceded in death by her son, Kevin Manix; parents, Raymond and Marlene Sly; and brother, Donald Sly. No formal services will be held. A burial will be held at Lutheran Church Cemetery, Omaha Street, Eau Claire, at 1 PM on Friday, December 1, 2017. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is assisting her family.
