Betty J. Eisberner, 86, went home to her heavenly Father on Sunday, February 26th, 2017. She was born on July 12, 1930, daughter of John T. and Charlotte A. (Delong) Hughes in Augusta, WI. Growing up on a farm, Betty was a worker. She married Edward J. Eisberner on August 2, 1947, at the age of 17, and raised five children. Her husband and kids were everything to her. She worked as a waitress, Avon representative, and cook at St. Olaf’s hot lunch. During the summers, she raised a huge garden and canned hundreds of quarts of fruits, vegetables, jams, jellies, and pickles. When her children were grown, she got her GED and went to Tech School to further her nursing career. She was so proud of her accomplishments. She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital until she retired. After retirement, she volunteered many hours at St. Francis Food Pantry, and worked at Mega Foods. We will all miss the sparkle in her eye and her quick wit. Betty is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Steve Gay) Eisberner and Elissia Joyce Moschkau; three sons, Edward (Janet), Timothy and Chris (Tami); granddaughters, Anita (Dan) Pendleton, Andrea (Josh McNamara) Hunter, Holly Eisberner, Heather Moschkau, Alyssa (Patrick) McCaughin, Emily Eisberner, and Megan Eisberner; grandsons, Douglas (Gretchen) Moschkau Jr. and Travis Eisberner; great-granddaughters, Sarah and Brooklyn Hunter and Madeline Moschkau; great-grandsons, Brandon (Abby) Pendleton, Timothy (Shea) Pendleton, William Lawry and Jacob Moschkau. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Pearl Wood and Darlene Holman; brothers, John, James, Leonard, David and infant twin brother, Robert; sons-in-law, Douglas G. Moschkau and Stephen E. Olson. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 3220 Monroe St, Eau Claire, with Father Paul Hoffman presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church. Burial will take place at a later date in St. John’s Cemetery, Fairchild.
