Gregory Charles Severson, 67, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2018, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, surrounded by his loving family. Greg was born on Nov. 17, 1950, to the late Charles and Phyllis (Braaten) Severson of Eau Claire. Greg grew up in Eau Claire, and graduated from Memorial High School. After graduation, he served honorably in the Navy. Greg received his Doctorate from Logan Collage and worked as a chiropractor for 17 years, most of which was alongside his father. Most recently, he worked at Nestle, up until his retirement in 2014. He was a member of the VFW, as well as the Chippewa Valley, Dunn, and Wisconsin Beekeeper's Associations. Greg loved having coffee with his friends on Thursdays at the French Press. He also loved music and was proud of his Norwegian heritage. Greg had a dry wit and loved to joke and make people laugh. He was personable, kind, and compassionate, with a great love for his family, and our Lord. His family and friends looked to him for advice daily. Greg is survived by Jean (Snyder), his wife of almost 45 years who held his hand to the very end; his four children, Thea (Brian) Weinberger, Eric (Stacy) Severson, Kari (Joey) Zeisset, and Emily (Trenity) Severson; his twelve grandchildren, four siblings; and other family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 123 W. Hamilton Ave, Eau Claire, with the Director of Congregational Care, Kurt Mattison. Visitation will begin at 9 am Saturday and continue until at the service at the church.
