Jane Ellen Roholt

Jane E. Roholt, 91, of Eau Claire, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Chippewa Falls, WI. She was born on April 18, 1927, in Weston, Dunn Co. WI, to J. Bruce and Anna (HĂ©¶gberg) Tasker. Upon graduation from high school in Elmwood, WI, she went to work for the Star-Journal Tribune in Minneapolis. Later on, she moved to Eau Claire and worked for Gramble-Robinson Company. On June 26, 1948, Jane married Gordon K. Roholt, in Eau Claire, WI. After raising their children, she worked at American National (Wells Fargo) Bank, retiring as Secretary to the President in 1989. Jane loved to sing, knit, do puzzles, walk, play cards, play Scrabble and volunteered for Step Force at Mayo Clinic for many years following her retirement. She is survived by 4 children, Steve (Sue) Roholt, Dave (Karen) Roholt, Gary (Debra) Roholt, and Judy (Mick) Kjelstad; eight grandchildren, Lisa (Brian) Lukis, Lori Roholt (David Yorde), Jonathan (Stacy) Kjelstad, Teri (Chris) DeClercq, Meredith (Andrew) Shaffer, Taylor Roholt, Kevin Roholt, and Kelby Roholt; nine great-grandchildren, Mirah, Daniel, and Gwen Lukis, Ila and Dean Yorde, Will and Paige Shaffer, and Evan and Grady DeClercq; one sister-in-law, Betty Tasker; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon Roholt; grandson, Michael Roholt; and brother, Bruce Tasker. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Wisconsin Veterans Home and Mayo Clinic for the wonderful care they provided for Jane. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1120 Cedar St. Eau Claire, with Pastor Josh Toufar officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the church. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. ​
