Priscilla Kauffman Obituary

Priscilla M. Kauffman, 79, of Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018, at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born in Duluth, MN, the daughter of Daniel and Doris (Hunnicutt) Hickox. Priscilla attended UW-Eau Claire and worked as a special education teacher’s aide with the Cadott School District. She loved cooking, spending time with her family, and being on the water. She married James “Mack” Kauffman on January 24, 1959, and together they shared 59 wonderful years. She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Beth (Geoffrey) Bright, Lynn (Robert) Poirier, Brenda (Brian) Goettl; grandchildren, Allison and Gregory Bright, Megan and Erin Poirier, Bradley and Torrey Goettl; and one great granddaughter, Amelia; sister, Susan (Foster) Bridger; brother, Dan (Linda) Hickox; also, many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Dr. Willard Southard; and brother, Tom Hickox. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018, at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 3220 Monroe St, Eau Claire, with Father Paul Hoffman officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave, and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Obaid and the CCU nursing staff at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital.
