Willard Davidson Obituary

Willard "Bill" A. Davidson, 91, of Eau Claire went home to be with his Savior on Friday, April 13, 2018. Bill was born in Eau Claire on September 8, 1926, a son of Jul and Valerie (Bernicke) Davidson. On August 21, 1964, he joined hands with his soulmate, Alva R. Sandler at the Congregational Church in Osseo, WI. They moved to Eau Claire and remained there all of their lives. Bill worked at Uniroyal Tire Company in Eau Claire for over 30 years, retiring as Chief Project Engineer. In retirement, he enjoyed working with stained glass and doing custom wood working. On December 17, 1972 Bill graduated Cum Laude with a BBA Degree. Bill had over 75 years of commitment to the Boy Scouts of America, served as a past District Governor of Wisconsin Lions, and was an active member of the WI/NIC Partners (AKA “Mr. Vitamin A”). Bill is survived by his devoted friend and loving companion, Jana Radtke of Eau Claire; his four children, George (Robin) and their children, Besufekad and Eyob; Larry (Barb) all of Eau Claire, WI, Gary of Shakopee, MN, and Jane May of Eau Claire, WI; his brother, James Davidson of Santa Claus, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alva; and sister-in-law, Marion Davidson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Saving Grace Lutheran Church, 2124 Eastridge Center, Eau Claire, with Rev. David J. Irgens officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
