Obituary

Adam Hilton, age 34, of Elk Mound, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012. Adam was born on February 3, 1977, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Brad and Bev (Framsted) Hilton. Adam graduated from Memorial High School in 1995. He met Heather O'Gorman in 2001 and they were\r\nmarried April 26, 2003. They lived in Clear Lake, Wisconsin, for a short time, and returned to the Eau Claire area three years ago. Adam loved his family and friends and had a passion for the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed spending time in northern Wisconsin bear hunting. Adam loved raising and training his hounds to hunt both bear and raccoon. He was a member of the Little Sioux Bear Hunters. For the past year Adam was the custodial maintenance person at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. He took great pride in what he did and worked at great length to beautify the grounds. Adam also worked tediously to improve the beauty of the interior of the church with his meticulous painting and attention to detail. During his time at St. Matthew's, Adam made many new friends and renewed his relationship with God. Adam had a huge heart and his sense of humor brought smiles to many people. He will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity to others. Adam will be sadly missed by the love of his life, Heather Hilton; children, Sawyer and Rheyannon Hilton; his parents, Bev and Brad; his brother, Aric (Tamara) Hilton; mother and father-in-law, Karen and Loyal Rongholt; grandparents, Thora Framsted, Joe and Darlene Hilton, Beverly West,and Laurine Kressin; brothers-in-law, Shawn (Erica) O'Gorman, Shane O'Gorman and William (Janaya) Rongholt; sisters-in-law, Laura (Paul) Haug and Terina (Tom) Pavelski; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at the Lutheran Church of St. Matthew, 1915 Hogeboom Ave., Eau Claire,with Pastor Steve Rutter officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Lutheran Church of St. Matthew on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire at a later date. We love you and will miss you so very much.
