Obituary

Agnes "Ag" Hoff, 85, formerly of 904 Cameron St., died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at Dove Healthcare. She was born in Eau Claire on April 9, 1918, the daughter of John and Katharina (Feirer) Hrubesch. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1935. Agnes married John W. Hoff in Eau Claire on January 14, 1937. She was a member of St. James The Greater Catholic Church.The last three and a half years Agnes lived at Dove Healthcare. She devoted her life to her family; she loved spending time with them and was always ready to play a game of cards, especially poker and cribbage. She loved needle work, music, baking and gardening. Agnes made every holiday a family gathering. The fourth of July was especially fun with a great view of fireworks from her front yard. Survivors include her six daughters, Audrey Olbrantz and Janet Horigan both of Milwaukee, Arlene Brant of Eau Claire, Joyce (Donald) Redman of Fort Wayne, IN, Linda Hoff of Eau Claire, and Carolyn (Steven) Lindow of Cottage Grove, MN; a son, James (Lucy) of Eau Claire; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John in 1968; granddaughter, Juanita Brant; three sons-in-law, Kenneth Brant, Jerry Horigan and Joseph Olbrantz; three brothers, Raymond, Herman and Louis Hrubesch; and two sisters, Harriet Holbrook and Margaret Whitwam. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday April 26, 2003 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church with Father John A. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
