Albergene "Gene" W. Little, age 82, of Eau Claire, WI, died Monday, March 20, 2017, at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire. Gene was born on November 7, 1934, in Greenwood, WI, to Ora W. and Elaine May (Afkind) Little. He graduated from Eau Claire High School. After high school, Gene entered the US Air Force and served our country for twenty years, traveling around the world. After he retired from the military, he went on to work for Service Master of Cleveland, OH, for the next fourteen years, again retiring. Gene then moved to Nevada for nineteen years before moving back to Eau Claire to finish his days on this earth. Gene will be sadly missed by all the people that loved him. He was also a devoted volunteer for the Salvation Army. Gene is survived by his wife, Suk Cha "Sue" of Altoona; two daughters, Janette (Paul) Railsback of Longmont, CO, and Lisa (Matt) Wisniewski of Eau Claire; one son, Kevan Little of Denver, CO; one granddaughter, Carrie (Cristhian) Lujan of Wauwatosa, WI; one grandson, Keith (Kristi) Railsback of Kentucky; one great-granddaughter, Haven Railsback; one great-grandson, Garen Railsback; four brothers, Ora Little of Alaska, Gayhardt Little of Columbia, SC, Kenneth Little of Thorp, WI, and Roger Little of Thorp, WI; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gene was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at the WEST CHAPEL location of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, WI, with Reverend Sandra McKinney officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post #305 of Eau Claire, following the funeral service at the funeral home.
