Albert "AB" Arthur LaRock, age 73, of Eau Claire, WI, died, Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. AB was born February 28, 1942, in Eau Claire, WI, to Albert "Bud" and Eldora (Olson) LaRock. He attended school in Eau Claire and went on to join the United Stated Navy, being discharged with honors. On August 10, 1985, he married Theresa Mousel in Eau Claire. AB enjoyed motorcycling, playing cards, bowling, pool and fishing, both ice and sunny day fishing. AB loved to socialize and visit with people. You might say he had "the gift of gab." "AB had the Gab." He loved staying busy, working on cars and small engines. A jack of all trades. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and his music love was, Elvis Presley. AB is survived by his wife, Theresa of Eau Claire; five children, Rich (Stephanie) LaRock of Eau Claire, Lori (Andrew) Hewitt of Chippewa Falls, Tony (Michelle Brassfield) LaRock of Durand, Christopher (Shantel) LaRock of Eau Claire and Tanya LaRock of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Heather (Stephen) Allen, Jocelyn (Tony) Stanton, Matthew LaRock, Derek LaRock, Elizabeth Flemming, Tessa Dutton, Sami Dutton, Blake Patneaude-LaRock, Jenna LaRock and Noah Sobottka; great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Stanton; one sister, Barb Morse of Cleghorn; the Mousel family brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. AB was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Gene and Rod. A visitation will take place on Thursday, February 18, 2016, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at WEST CHAPEL of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave, Eau Claire, with a Time of Remembrance Service at 3:00 p.m. Inurnment with Military Honors will take place at a later date in Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery near Spooner.
