ALFRED F. "FRITZ" BRUMMOND, 79, of 5137 Old Town Hall Rd., died Friday, November 15, 1996 at his home. He was born May 1,1917, to William and Amila (Stubbe) Brummond on the family farm in the Town of Lincoln near Fall Creek where he grew up. On November 30, 1942, Fritz married Leila E. Schacht in Stillwater, MN. He served in Germany during World War II with the United States Army-Air Corps with his brothers, Herman and Rheinhardt. He worked at Presto Industries for many years and then in Kenosha for American Motors. He later returned to Eau Claire where he worked for Skeels Construction and retired from Bob Hart Implement. \r\nFritz was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and Bever American Legion Post # 550, Town of Brackett.\r\nSurvivors include three sons, Gary (Nancy) of Burnsville, MN, Roger of Largo, FL, and Kenneth (Darlene) of Fall Creek; five daughters, Patricia Miller, Gayle Newton and Helen (Paul) Schalinske all of Eau Claire, Janice (Terry) Badman of Augusta and Kristine (Jerry) Gerberding of Sheldon; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herman (Evelyn) and Rheinhardt both of Eau Claire; three sisters, Elsie (Ernest) Dehnke of Fall Creek, Anna Webinger of Fridley, MN and Esther Wathke of Marshall, Missouri; and a special friend, Marty Sell of Altoona.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Leila in 1988; his parents; and two brothers, August and William.\r\nHis children will always remember his enjoyment of fishing, and the generous way he gave of his time to help family and friends with their building projects.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Rev. Ned S. Lenhart officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery, Town of Washington. Friends may call 5 to 8 P.M. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
