Obituary

Alice L. Eckwright, 92, of Eau Claire died Sunday, November 16, 2003 at Dove Healthcare. She was born on May 12, 1911 in Phillips, WI, the daughter of Albert and Sadie (Hennessey) Johnson. Alice married Benjamin E. Eckwright in Eau Claire on October 5, 1935.\r\nShe worked at Gillette Rubber Co. prior to raising her family. \r\nAlice was a member of the Merry Mixers Square Dancers, card club, birthday club and was a volunteer with the Eau Claire Election Board. She enjoyed meeting with her high school class breakfast club throughout the years.\r\nAlice is survived by three sons, Thomas (Dorothy) of Edgerton, WI, John (Shauna) of Chippewa Falls, Terry (Gail) of Moscow, ID and; eight grandchildren, Julie Ciebell, Brenda (Brian) Lintvedt, Bonnie (David) Collins and Ben Eckwright all of Edgerton, Tyler and Seth Eckwright of Chippewa Falls, Frank and Mariah Eckwright of Moscow, ID; four great grandchildren, Brandon Ciebell, Calvin and Brianne Lintvedt, and Nick Collins; her sister, Gladys Myers of Eau Claire; her brother, Raymond (Hazel) Johnson of Eau Claire; and nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benjamin in 1974; an infant daughter; and an infant granddaughter, Nancy Eckwright.\r\nFuneral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2003 at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with Pastor John E. Hosmann officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
