Alice V. Lundquist, age 100, of Grace Willowbrook in Eau Claire, died Saturday, October 21, 2006, at Luther Hospital. She was born in the township of Cleveland, Jackson County, near Fairchild on February 14, 1906, the daughter of James and Hannah (Falk) Solberg.\r\nAlice married Bertil C. Lundquist on July 10, 1937, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nAfter raising her daughter, she did clerical work for several insurance companies until her retirement.\r\nShe was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and her active church involvement was a very important part of her life.\r\nAlice is survived by her daughter, Janet (Ronald) Wanek of Madison; grandson, Mark (Rebecca) Wanek and granddaughter, Lynn (Mike) Koenig both of Washington, DC; her great grandson, Parker Koenig of Washington, DC; sister, Charlotte Wadsworth of Madison; sister-in-law, Josephine Nelson of Niles, IL; and three nieces and three nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bertil; sister, Evelyn Solberg; and brother-in-law, Irvin Wadsworth.\r\nAlice was devoted to her family for whom she prayed every day. She was very fortunate to be able to see and enjoy her great grandson for almost two years.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2006, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor David K. Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Friends may call one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
