Alice Margaret Johnson, 90, of Eau Claire died Thursday, August 19, 2010, in the Rose Cottage at Clairemont Nursing Home. She was born on December 22, 1919, in the town of Hale, in Trempealeau County, a daughter of Simon and Inga (Maug) Larson.\r\nAlice married Romain J. Johnson on October 25, 1941, in Osseo and they moved to Eau Claire in 1953. \r\nShe was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nAlice was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also proud of her Norwegian Heritage, and loved to share her Norwegian baking with friends and family.\r\nAlice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Steven Stolp of Bella Vista, AR; two grandsons, Christopher (Silke) Stolp of Waterford, MI, and Jonathan (Caroline) Stolp of Tallahassee, FL; granddaughter, Jennifer Stolp of Madison Lake, MN; six great grandchildren, Steven, Heather, Courtney, Megan, Connor and Abigail; special grandniece, Judy (Tim) Johnson of Osseo; and several nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Romain in 1988; five sisters, Hilda and Matilda Larson, Clara Forsen, Emma Lien, and Agnes Patrie; and four brothers, Lawrence, Stanley, Gilbert and Henry Larson. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday August 27, 2010, at Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Grace Lutheran Church for its Radio and Television Ministry, 202 W.
