Alice M. Thur, 96, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at Luther Hospital. She was born October 14, 1907in Fairchild, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frederick and Amanda (Neumann) Thur. Alice moved to Eau Claire in 1926, where she was employed at Eau Claire Pad Co., Uniroyal Tire Co., and retired as an account with Bertelson Company in 1975 after 33 years of service.\r\nShe was an active member of Epiphany Lutheran Church for many years.\r\nSurvivors include her nephew, Leonard (Mary) Thur of Clifton Park, NY; two great-nieces, Michele (Jon) Trace of Brooklyn Park, MN, and their children Kristin and Melissa, and Sabrina (John) Falzone of Oak Park Heights, MN, and their children Taylor and Jacob.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Leonard R. and his wife, Dorothy.\r\nFuneral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2004 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services Sunday at the funeral home.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Epiphany Lutheran Church.
