Alice S. Tio, 94, 2937 Uranus Avenue, died Wednesday, May 29, 1996 at her home. She was born August 11, 1901 in the Town of Cady, Spring Valley to Henry and Augusta Koehler. Alice married Marcus Tio on November 27, 1923 in Spring Valley. In 1935 they moved to the Gilman area where they farmed until 1979, when they moved to Eau Claire.She was a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church. Alice had many interests, she especially enjoyed quilting, crocheting and taking care of her garden.\r\nSurvivors include three sons, Clarence (Alice) of Eau Claire, Edmund of St. Paul,MN,Charles (Carol) of Nekoosa; a daughter, Rose (John) Bennett of Eau Claire; sixteen grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; a brother, George (Anna) Koehler of Seymour; several nieces and nephews.\r\nAlice was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus in 1982; three brothers, Hank, Ed and Otto and a sister, Ida Kaiser.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at St. Olaf Catholic Church with Father Frank Corradi officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Brook Cemetery, Gilman. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Friday (Today) at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with a public Prayer Service at 6 P.M.
