Alicia "Ali" R. (Powers) Hurtgen, 52, of Stanley, WI passed away unexpectedly at her residence on January 30, 2022 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis for many years.
She was born on October 16, 1969 in Eau Claire, the daughter of Barbara (Buttenhoff) Rasmussen and Deland Powers. Alicia attended Altoona High School. She had worked at Marcus Cable and was transferred to Madison where she worked for the UW- Madison Foundation. She enjoyed watching and following the Wisconsin Badgers. Alicia had a huge heart and would help anyone with anything. When her health deteriorated, she moved closer to home, Stanley, WI. She loved meeting people and making new friends.
Alicia is survived by her father, Deland; mother, Barbara (Dennis) Rasmussen; sister, Leticia (Jeff) Willier; niece, Dru Nicolet and her maternal grandmother, Norma Buttenhoff. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A celebration of Alicia's life will be celebrated at a later date (tentatively Spring of 2022). Alicia's family would like to thank Kevin Kunishige for his compassion, care and assistance for Alicia.
