ALLISON S. "BARNEY" GULLICKSON, 80, of 1475 Edgecombe Rd., St. Paul, MN, formerly of Eau Claire, died Sunday, May 6, 2001, at the St. Paul Church Home in St. Paul, MN. He was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin on October 21, 1920 to Barney and Elma (Anderson) Gullickson. \r\nBarney entered the U.S. Army during World War II on August 11, 1942 and later served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater until his honorable discharge on November 29, 1945.\r\nHe taught at Eau Claire Senior High School where he met his future bride, Catherine who worked in the attendance office. Barney married Catherine L. Miller on June 3, 1948 in Denver, Colorado. They later moved to St. Paul, MN, where he earned a master's of arts degree from the University of Minnesota. Barney taught in the Minnesota Public School System until his retirement.\r\nSurvivors include his brother-in-law, Bernard (Vernette) Miller of Rome, NY; three sisters-in-law, Patricia Heckel, Margie (Kenneth) Wendt, and Florence (Jerry) Olson, all of Eau Claire; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine on Saturday, May 5, 2001; and his parents.
