ALMA C. HEGGEN, 93, of 2512 Spooner Ave., Altoona died Saturday, November 16, 1996 at the Clairemont. She was a life long resident of Eau Claire, born on June 7, 1903 to Charles and Anna (Teigen) Berglund. A graduate of Eau Claire Senior High School, she was salutatorian of the class of 1921. Alma married William Heggen in Eau Claire on October 15, 1928. She had worked as a stenographer with several Eau Claire businesses. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist and enjoyed working a number of years as a volunteer at the Chippewa Valley Museum.\r\nSurvivors include several nieces and nephews. Alma was preceded in death by her husband William in 1950, and 3 brothers and 5 sisters which included Evelyn Berglund in 1995.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 2 P.M. Saturday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Reader Darlene Jagusch officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 1 P.M. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
