Alvina D. Bunce, 75, of 2663 Vine Street died Tuesday, June 11, 1996 at her home.She was born on April 25, 1921 in Foster,Wisconsin to Albert and Elfrieda (Redmond) Pehlke and baptized at St. Lukes Lutheran Church on May 22, 1921. Her family later moved to Eau Claire where she attended school. Alvina married LaMoine R. Bunce on January 22, 1941 in Decorah, IA. She worked nine years in the packaging department at Roberts Wholesale Foods until 1967. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. Alvina enjoyed beach combing with LaMoine during their winters in Florida and designing shell craft from their collection.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, LaMoine; a son, Gary of Eau Claire; two daughters, Pat (Gary) Holstein of Eau Claire and Cheryl (Darrel) Mattison of Elk Mound; five grandchildren, Greg (Carla) Holstein of Wausau, Jeff (Jody) Holstein of Champlin,MN, Joel (Kimberly) Bunce of Eau Claire, Sue (Eric) Schmidt and Dan Bunce all of Chippewa Falls; eight great-granddaughters; a brother, Willard Pehlke of Eau Claire; two sisters, Irene(Dick) Talmage of Menomonie and Violet (David) Steinke of Fall Creek; many nieces and nephews.\r\nAlvina was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Janeen Holstein.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Friday at St. Johns Lutheran Church with Pastor Thomas W. Bryan officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
