Our loving and handsome Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, Andre Richard Stewart, age 30, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 12th, 2024.

Andre, affectionately known to many as "DRE", was born April 16th, 1994. A proud black man, he had a heart of gold, a silly spirit, and a gentle soul. He cared deeply for those around him and was a true empath. Andre loved making others laugh with his quick-witted humor and teasing nature - his boisterous laughter was contagious! Always the storyteller, Andre was a very reflective person and tried to impart his wisdom on others; he could often be found reading and learning new things. His passion for music, specifically reggae, exemplified his messages of love, peace, and happiness for everyone. Andre moved through life always making noise - improvising melodies and rhythms, singing opera in the shower; he believed that the world needed more sound, more music, more life. In recent years, he was most excited to be an uncle to his niece and nephew and cherished spending time with them. Family and friends were very important to him. The special bond he shared with his best friend and sister, Gabrielle was truly unique. His family takes great comfort in knowing the two of them are together again, alongside their father. He is preceded in death by his sister, Gabrielle Stewart; father, Lawrence Stewart; grandfather, Edward Wiersgalla; grandfather Raqib H. Rippy and grandmother, Siddiqah Blakemore. Andre is survived by his mother, Christina Wiersgalla (Adolph Schildknecht); grandmother, Stephanie Wiersgalla; sister, Alyssia Magnuson (Blake, Georgie - niece, August - nephew); sister, Elleana Stewart, best friend, Jake Hutchinson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 18th, 2024 from 4-8pm at Court'N House at 113 W Grand Ave in Eau Claire. A private burial is to follow in the coming days for immediate family where Andre will be buried next to his sister and grandfather.
