After seventy-three years of being happily married to her loving husband, Donald, Ann Marie Ausman, 96, passed away on August 27, 2017, at Heritage Assisted Living in Eau Claire, WI. Ann was born in Osseo, WI, to Albert and Selma (Huskelhus) Anderson on the first of October 1920. After marrying Donald on July 8, 1944, they farmed together in the town of Wheaton near Elk Mound. Ann was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk Mound and active in St. Joseph's Women's Circle and in the Chippewa County Homemakers. She loved spending time reading, sewing, taking rides through the countryside and for dinner on Sundays and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Barbara Pladziewicz (Jack) of Eau Claire and Patricia (Chuck) Lightfoot of Caro Michigan; granddaughters, Kathleen (Chris) Rondeau, Lori (Gary) Malmquist and Vicky (Joe) Brown; grandsons, Chris (Malyia) Pladziewicz and Tim (Erin) Lightfoot; sister, Shirley Johnson; brothers-in-law, Bill Germann, Joe (Norma) Ausman and Tom (Diane) Ausman; sisters-in-law, Lucille Ausman and Bonnie Anderson; as well as 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Agnes Karlstad and Ethel Germann; brothers, Ernie and Bob Anderson; sister-in-law, Alice Anderson; and brothers-in-law, John Ausman, Alton Karlstad, and Bob Johnson. We are grateful for the kind, loving and capable care provided by caregivers of Heritage Assisted Living in Eau Claire. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Elk Mound or to a charity of your choice in Ann's name. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon, on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 417 W. Menomonie Street in Elk Mound, WI, with Father Joseph Nakwah officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Eau Claire.
