Ann B. Dodge, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 1, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Grace and son-in-law, Duane Johnson in Elk Mound, WI. Ann was the youngest of three born to Wilbur and Ruth Edgington in Thayer, MO, on February 18, 1935. She married Bill Dodge in Stillwater, MN, on July 23, 1952. They had a daughter, Grace Ann. Ann was an unbelievable cook, had a green thumb - greener than most, and had an undeniable love for animals. She and Bill moved from Fairchild, WI, to Hill City, SD, in 1997, to their "little slice of Heaven." Ann is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bill; her daughter, Grace (Duane) Johnson, grandsons, Travis (Kristi) Johnson and Chadly (Christine) Johnson; great-granddaughter, Berkley; and her sister, Grace Dodge. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Carl. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Avenue, Eau Claire. "And if I go, while you're still here... know that I live on, vibrating to a different measure behind a thin veil you can not see through. I wait for the time when we can soar together again, both aware of each other. Until then, live your life to its fullest. And when you need me, just whisper my name in your heart ...I will be there."
