Ann C. Hanson, 88, of Eau Claire, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Sacred Heart Hospital, surrounded by her daughters. Ann was born on August 8, 1926, in Eau Claire, to Wolfgang and Elizabeth (Dohm) Statz. Ann attended the Cosmetology School of Milwaukee in Eau Claire and worked as a beautician in Milwaukee before returning to the Eau Claire area. She established Ann's Beauty Shop in Eau Claire, where she served her customers for over 50 years. Ann also enjoyed gardening. On April 12, 1958, she married Alvin C. Hanson. Ann is survived by her four daughters, Mary (Richard) Qualheim, Ruth (Bryan) Fornell, Kathy (Glenn) Willer, and Patty (Ahmed) Quereshi; six grandchildren, Nicholas and Erica, Austin and Emma, and Monde and Isaac, all of whom she adored; three sisters, Martha, Joanne, and Jeanette; brothers, Ralph, Gilbert, Wilbert, Vince, and William; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; sisters, Elizabeth, Mary, and Angeline; and brothers, George, John, and Louis. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 (TODAY), at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St., Eau Claire, with Fr. Tom Krieg officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. NOON at the church. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. James Catholic School.
