Obituary

Ann Louise (Johnson) Leinum, 89, of Eau Claire, died on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Dove Healthcare West. She was born on the family farm near Osseo, WI on May 16, 1923, to Henry and Marie Johnson. She was baptized, confirmed, and later married at Kings Valley Church in Osseo. She graduated from Lincoln Hill High School, also in Osseo, in 1941. Ann went to work at the defense plant in Eau Claire making bullets during the war. After that she worked at the US Rubber Company in Eau Claire where she met her husband Glen Leinum. They were married at Kings Valley Church in 1947. They later belonged to Grace Lutheran Church where she was very active. Ann is survived by her husband of 65 years, Glen; children, Gregory Allen (Cathy) of Appleton, and Vicki Ann (Bill) Pabich of Eau Claire; 4 grandchildren, Corey Leinum of Minneapolis, Amanda Leinum (Zack Rourk) of Minneapolis, and Branden and Sam Pabich, both of Eau Claire; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kasey Pabich; 2 brothers, Harris (Gloria) Johnson and Stanley (Loretta) Johnson; and sisters-in-law, Lorraine (Russ) Spooner and Bernice (Frank) Soppeland. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grand Ave. in Eau Claire. Pastor Rolf Nestingen will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday at church. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Court and Dove Healthcare West-2nd Floor for the excellent care they provided to Ann. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
