Obituary

Ann Louise Felton, age 88, died peacefully in the early morning of March 30 after spending time with her family on March 29, her birthday. Ann was born in Eau Claire on March 29th, 1936, daughter of George and Helen Schreiber. As you might suspect, Ann was a very popular girl in school and involved in many activities and organizations; some of those school girl friends remained close until death. After graduation Ann began her studies at UW Eau Claire and that is where she met her future husband, Elmer, they were married in September of 1955 and enjoyed a joyful and rewarding union until Elmer's passing in December of 2015 Ann worked as a dental assistant while in college and then devoted her time to raising her four kids through their school years. Ann was proud of her work as a special needs teacher as her kids became independent and had the patience and positive disposition to make this a successful endeavor. All who crossed paths with Ann were endeared to her sweetness, compassion, and positivity. Multiple job transfers through the years to St Paul, Manitowoc, Austin, White Bear Lake, and back to Eau Claire only increased the number of friends and organizations that Ann had a positive impact upon. Hosting the many holidays over the years created long lasting traditions and memories for all; her decorating for all holidays, especially Easter, will never be forgotten Summers and Falls at the cabin with family and her life-long lake friends where so memorable and enjoyable as the years went by. A long time painter, Ann has left a legacy of many paintings for her children to treasure. Remembered as a cook, crafter, volunteer, active and devout member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she worked in the library for over 20 years. Ann will best be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, spouse, and friend. Special thanks to The Classic senior living where Ann resided the past nine years. A beautiful facility with a wonderful staff where Ann thrived and loved to reside. Ann is survived by two sons, Jeff (Susan) of Eagan, MN, Michael of Chippewa Falls; two daughters Julie (Thomas) of Rice Lake, Laurie (Stephen) of Mound, MN; four grandsons, Zachary, Andrew, Joseph and Charles; four granddaughters, Mackenzie, Michelle, Katie and Elizabeth as well as 11 great grandchildren.
