Annabelle J. Velie, 87, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at Clariemont Nursing and Rehabilitation in Eau Claire. She was born in Ashland, Wisconsin on May 4, 1920, the daughter of William and Anna (Kurilla) Klemmer. She grew up in Ashland graduating from Ashland High School.\r\nAnnabelle married Wilfred J. Velie on October 28, 1950, at Sacred Heart Rectory in Eau Claire.\r\nShe worked at National Presto Industries during World War II assembling ordinance. Annabelle worked as a retail cashier at Kresge's, K-Mart and Ben Franklin stores until her retirement.\r\nAnnabelle and Wilfred loved to go ballroom dancing and golf together. She enjoyed get together's with her nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. \r\nAnnabelle is survived by her brother, Harold (Bernice) Klemmer of Menomonee Falls, WI, sister-in-law, Geneva Klemmer of Eau Claire; brother-in-law, Robert (Adelyne) Velie of Ozark, MO; and many nieces and nephews. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilfred this past October; sister, Mary (Glenn) McFaul; and two brothers, William and Robert Klemmer.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Father Eugene A. Klink officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.\r\n
