ARCEAL L. ERPENBACH, 82, formerly of 2415 11th St., Eau Claire, died Thursday, August 26, 1999 at the Chippewa Manor in Chippewa Falls.\r\nShe was born February 21, 1917 in Eau Claire to Clyde and Hazel (Ganong) McCombs.Arceal graduated from Colfax High School in 1935. She married Howard Powers and they farmed in Wheaton Township, Chippewa County until his death in 1969. On June 24, 1972, Arceal married George Erpenbach at St. James the Greater Catholic Church in Eau Claire. She worked at Shedd-Brown Calendar Company for over twenty years, retiring as assembly floor supervisor. She was also a member of Eau Claire Moose Lodge #1404.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, George; her brother, Wesley (Mary Jane) McCombsof Chippewa Falls; and several nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard, brothers Roger and Thomas.\r\nFuneral services will be 12 noon, Monday, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls. \r\nFriends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Members of the Moose Lodge will hold a service 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A public prayer vigil will follow at7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
