Ardythe "Ann" J. Lorentz, 77, of Eau Claire, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Oakwood Villa in Altoona. \r\nAnn was born on March 17, 1933, in Eau Claire, a daughter of James and Dorothy (Butler) Holmes.\r\nAnn married Duane Lorentz on August 5, 1961, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nAnn worked as a registered nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital in Obstetrics for 25 years. She owned and operated Ann's Home Infant Care for 15 years.\r\nAnn was extremely proud and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the Packers and was a big Aaron Rodgers fan.\r\nAnn was a member of Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association in Milwaukee, WI, Eau Claire Area Art League, Chippewa Valley Museum, NALC Post Office Woman's Auxiliary No. 829, and Hope Lutheran Church.\r\nAnn is survived by a son, Craig (Rhonda) of Peoria, IL; two daughters, Carol Lorentz-Huwe (Vern Lanoue) of Green Bay and Beth Lorentz-Helman (David) of Eau Claire; eight grandchildren, Camden, Austin, Shine, Chanel, Jeremiah, Winston, Charity Rose, and Chandler; and 2 great-grandchildren, Callie Skye and Tristan John; brother Keith (Shirley) Holmes, and sister, Bonnie Holmes.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Duane in 2006; parents; a grandson, Dederick James Lorentz; and great-granddaughter, Alainah Jayde Lorentz.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Hope Lutheran Church, 2226 Eddy Lane in Eau Claire with Pastor Randy Olson officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Visitation will be Monday, February 7, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
