Arlene F. Anderson, 86, of Eau Claire, died Sunday, November 1, 2009, at the Syverson Lutheran Home, under the care of Northwest Home Care Hospice. Arlene was born on June 23, 1923, to Amos and Hannah (Gunderson) Froseth. She grew up in the town of Spring Brook in Dunn County, WI. She married Robert E. Anderson (Bob/Bud) on May 18, 1946, and lived on Tyler Avenue in Eau Claire for most of her marriage.\r\nArlene retired from the State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation in 1986. Arlene was an active member of Sarah Circle at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 53, Cabane 525, as well as the Sons of Norway. She was formerly a member of United Commercial Travelers of America.\r\nArlene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Anderson in 1991; a son, Larry in 1997; and a brother, LaVerne in 2009.\r\nArlene is survived by her son, Rodney of Madison, WI; a daughter-in-law, Ellen Anderson and granddaughter Jeani (Spencer) Bakke of Maple Grove, MN; twin great - grandsons, Lukas and Landon Bakke; a sister, Carol (James) Johnson; sisters-in-law Ione Froseth and Edith Anderson, all of Eau Claire; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2009, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1120 Cedar Street, Eau Claire, with Pastor Gary Froseth officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 5 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at church..\r\n
