ARNOLD S. WALKER, 89, of 2003 Altoona Ave., Heritage Apts, died Thursday, March 14, 2002. He was born on September 30, 1912, in Eau Claire to Peder A. and Julia B. (Olson) Walker. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1932 and attended Eau Claire Normal School for two years.\r\nArnold married Dolly V. Nord on July 8, 1940 in Decorah, Iowa. \r\nHe worked with his father at Walker Paint Store on Bellinger St. and was then employed 34 years as a guard at Uniroyal, retiring in 1976. \r\nArnold and Dolly enjoyed traveling with their daughters and later by bus tours in their retirement years. \r\nHe had been a member of First Lutheran Church for many years.\r\nHe is survived by his wife Dolly; two daughters, Pamela Burdick of Minneapolis, and Donna Neuman of Hayward; two granddaughters, Rachel Leland of Eau Claire and Stephanie (Brett) Tischler of Longmont, Col.; a great grandson, Levi Leland of Eau Claire; a sister, Lenore Rood of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his twin brothers, Milford and Marvin Walker; and a sister, Pearl Johnson.\r\nA very special thanks from Arnold's family for the loving care given to him by Margaret, Jeanne and Jan.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2002 in the chapel at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Monday at the church. \r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association - Indianhead Chapter 1227 B, Menomonie St., Eau Claire, WI 54703.
