Arthur Stewart Jr., 77, of the Town of Wheaton, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at his home with his loving wife at his side.\r\nHe was born May 5, 1929, in the Town of Wheaton, Chippewa County, the son of Arthur B. Sr. and Noami (Hazen) Stewart.\r\nIn 1951, Arthur married Elizabeth M. Trettin in Stillwater, MN.\r\nArthur worked at Pope&Talbot in maintenance for 36 ½ years, retiring in 1991.\r\nAmong his favorite hobbies, were working on cars and motorcycles, and riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles.\r\nArthur is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth; four sons, Dennis (Diane) Roberts of Eau Claire, Steve Stewart of Bloomer, Randy (Darlene) Stewart of Chippewa Falls, Larry (Julie) Stewart of Eau Claire; three daughters, Wendy (Mike) McDonald of Eau Claire, Kris (Steve) Johnson of Chippewa Falls, and Danette (Brian) Marvin of Colfax; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary, LaVonne, Jo.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Deenie; three sisters, Ruth, June, and Dorothy; and two brothers, Louie and Bud.\r\nPrivate family services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2006, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor James Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Town of Washington.
