Arthur J. "Art" Prueher, 76, of 132 Broadway Street died Saturday, June 22, 1996 at his residence. He was born August 10, 1919 in Eau Claire to Andrew and Isabel (Thompson) Prueher. Art attended Eau Claire State Teachers College and then joined the 32nd Red Arrow Div., National Guard. He served in the Pacific Theater and was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant on March 23, 1946. Art married Geraldine Lund on June 2, 1956 in Eau Claire. He worked thirty seven years at Uniroyal until his retirement in 1981. \r\nSurvivors include his wife, Geraldine; two sons, David (Shelley) and Robert (Kelley); six daughters, Ruth-Ann (Duane) Mahder, Mary Ellen (David) Brownnell, Anita(Mike Schlageter) and Barbara (Peter) Olson all of Eau Claire, Jean (John) Walter of Chippewa Falls and Karen (William) Boeselager of Spooner; and thirteen grandchildren.\r\nHe was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, James and William "Bud".\r\nArt was a loving husband and father, and an avid outdoorsman, especially with his family. \r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Monday at St. Patricks Catholic Church with Father Charles J. Hiebl officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 305. Friends may call 5 to 8 P.M. Sunday (Today) at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church. There will be a Public Rosary at 7 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
