AURONA LARSON, 77, 500 N. Holly Ave., Elk Mound, formerly of Beloit, died Thursday, May 8,1997 at home. She was born February 5, 1920 to Alfred O. And Julia A. (Eggen) Sagen in Plymouth Township, Rock County. She was confirmed at Orfordville Lutheran Church in 1934, and taught Sunday School for two years. In 1938, Aurona graduated from Orfordville High School. She worked at Fairbanks, Morse and Company during W.W.II. On March 7, 1947, she married Robert E. Larson in Janesville. She joined Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Beloit, where she taught Sunday School again. She was employed at Beloit College for seven years. In 1989, Aurona moved to Elk Mound to be with her daughter and family and became a member of The Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church.Aurona will be missed by her son, Robert (Barbara), and his daughters, Angela, Emily, and Julia, Mukwonago; Son-in-law, Gregory Seefeldt, and his daughters, Amy Balfany, Rebecca, Amanda, and Genese Seefeldt, all of Elk Mound; one sister, Selina Moore, Janesville; two brothers, Omar Sagen, Janesville, Duane (Phyllis) Sagen, Grants Pass, Oregon; many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, December 3, 1979, and her daughter, Janice Ann Balfany Seefeldt, October 10, 1994.Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church,Elk Mound, with Pastor Dean C. Brockmeier officiating. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home, Eau Claire, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Beloit, with Pastor Eugene Hanson officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Beloit.The family suggests memorials be directed to Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church, Elk Mound.
