Barry L. Ziehme, 55, of Eau Claire, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Everest Group Home in Eau Claire. Barry was born on October 12, 1960, in Eau Claire, to Dale and Audrey (Evans) Ziehme. Barry attended Memorial High School and graduated with the Class of 1979. He continued his education at Chippewa Valley Technical College for marketing and graduated in 1981. Barry work in the Garden Center at K-Mart for over 30 years. He loved to garden, play dart ball, watch baseball and football, especially the Detroit Lions. Survivors include his siblings, Dennis and Brenda Ziehme both of Eau Claire; aunts, Barbara (George) Lewis, Carol Mathews, Beatrice (Charles) Popple, Deyon Ziehme and Illa Evans; and uncle, David (Holly) Stavnaw. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Lillian Ziehme and Shirley (Martin) Stavnaw; aunt, Irene (Chester) Fritz; uncles, Lyle (Ardelle) Ziehme, Raymond (Ev) Ziehme, Lawrence Ziehme, Michael Evans, and Duane "Tim" Evans. A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Lake Street United Methodist Church, 337 Lake Street in Eau Claire with Rev. Cherie Forret officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery, Town of Washington.
